Keeping up with the Ballards

Image
How can you keep up with the Ballards when the Ballards don't blog??? We have been busy: busy going to a million 5 year-old birthday parties for kids in Walker's class, busy dealing with the disaster that was getting Jason's new car, busy reading the Twilight saga, then busy re-reading the Twilight saga because I simply could not LET IT GO (I'm better now. My name is Kristen and it has been 4 days since my last reading of anything Twilight) Poor Lucy girl is sick. She started coughing on Tuesday, but by Wednesday night, she could barely get a breath in between coughs. We had her on allergy medicine, but it wasn't helping her cough. Wednesday night was a terrible night. She threw up two different times, and I was trying to get her to lay down with having coughing fits. Then, Walker got up to come to our bed, only I wasn't there- I was on the couch so I could hear Lucy better and let Jason get a decent nights sleep, since he has to be up so early. So, Walker coul...

Walker- 4 1/2

4 1/2??? Can that be?? In 6 months, I will have a 5 year old? NO WAY!! Walker is 4 1/2 this month, so I thought I would do a Walker post. He is a sweetie boy that will cuddle in your lap, and give you kisses one minute, then wrestle you down to the ground the next minute. He is such a BOY! He loves super heroes, wrestling, running, jumping off the coffee table onto the couch, football, and eating. His appetite has really taken off lately. He will try anything, but he doesn't like everything. He would be happy eating cereal and fruit snacks all day long. He has been known to eat 3 or 4 bowls of cereal at a time. It's usually just 2. This year, he really got into football. He started wanting to know what the teams were called, so my dad got him mini helmets and pennants for each NFL team. He loves setting them out and matching up the pennants with the helmets, and he knows almost every NFL team by their helmet. He loves the Cowboys, the Chargers, and the Ravens (we call them the ...

HELP!!!!

Sorry for the severity of the title, but I am hoping for some input. I am in need of ideas/help with house cleaning. I am NOT a good housekeeper. I love organizing and picking up- every single toy has a certain basket or shelf that it goes in. But, actual cleaning... not so much. I get overwhelmed at how much there is to do, and don't know where to begin, and it just drives me crazy. I don't like housecleaning, but it has come to a point where I want to get better at it. I want to have a clean house for my family, and it is my job to see to that. I am respectfully asking for your tips/advice/opinions in this area. I would love to know if you have a specific cleaning schedule that you follow, or you just do whatever room or area you want to? Do you do a little each day, or do you have a specific day set aside for cleaning? UGH! Like I said, HELP!!!
