All our "friends"

Somehow, along the way, our stuffed animals became known as "friends". We would say, "Do you want to take a friend with you?" Some of our "friends" are still very important to us, even at 4 and 5 years old. We have SO many friends (it seems to me) and I have a big bag of friends in the garage that I don't know what to do with. Certain friends we only sleep with, and other friends we play with. Some don't get much attention at all, but don't even think about trying to get rid of it. They won't have it. The most favorite friends even get named. My favorite is Lucy's pink poodle. Walker has a Mickey and a Pluto, and Lucy has Minnie. Well, she named her poodle Plutee, since Walker has Pluto. So now, when they play Mickey and Minnie, they bring Pluto and Plutee, too.

They are so much more imaginative and creative than I was. They come up with all these scenarios and can pick up where they left off last time they played this same "game". We have monkey families, dinosaur families, Mickey and Minnie (with Pluto and Plutee, of course). They just pick a "friend" and start playing.
This is one of their favorite areas to play. This day, they were playing dinosaurs and Lucy has Rosetta the fairy. She was in charge of the dinosaurs.
Today, they were playing football with Zebra and Monkey. They are both sock monkeys, but Walker named his Zebra since it is black and white striped. Zebra is a big player at bedtime. Walker sleeps with Zebra more than any other "friend". Walker and Zebra were the Dallas Cowboys and Lucy and Monkey were the Saints. Then, Lucy decided her and Monkey would just be cheerleaders and cheer on the Cowboys. It cracks me up!!

that is too cute. Daley and I used to play with the silverware when my family was out to dinner. Knife (dad), Fork (mom), Spoon (kid), dessert fork (baby). We could "play house" the entire dinner without bothering our parents.

When I was a baby, I had a stuffed animal--elephant, I think--that your dad and Terrye named "Pinky Snag." I don't know what that means, but it sounds like something they'd come up with, lol! :)
