Christmas Day
Christmas Day was a blast!!! The kids woke up in great moods, thanks to a decent nights sleep, and we had an awesome day.
Favorite Christmas day traditions:
- waking up the kids (yes, we still have to wake them up)
- breakfast at Mom's (gingerbread!!)
- seeing Jason's Nanny (we added this to our Christmas schedule 2 years ago)
- stockings at Mom's (we draw names, so each of us buys stocking stuffers. Walker and Lucy got into this year and picked several items for the names they had drawn)
Wakey, wakey, eggs n backey!!!
Walker with his Santa gifts- TCU shirts and a camo TCU hat (that's what he wanted?!)
Lucy checking out her stocking and Santa presents
Next stop: Gran's
Opening stockings. Caitlin made W a Man Vs. Food T-shirt. It's one of his favorite shows!!
Jojo in her Christmas hat, knitted by Caitlin
Lucy showing off her new scarf
At Galey's for Snelson Christmas
Lucy, with my cousin Hunter (their fav person that day), opening her gifts
Walker with his boots from Gran
Wow- a picture of me!! I'm always behind the camera, but Jojo took the camera while I was opening my cute stuff from Caitlin.
My cute scarf and "Blue Steele" look :)
It's all over now!!! I got the house back into shape the day after and we have been playing with our stuff ever since. What a great Christmas! Now, I have to get the Christmas decorations down- UGH.... I really don't enjoy that part. It's a little sad and J is back at work so I am on my own with the task. Bleck :(
2009 was a great year and I can't believe how fast it flew by!! The older you get and especially after you have kids it seems like the time just really flies by. The kids are getting so big and mature, it's just crazy. They did so good- they never told a single person what their gift was before Christmas and they knew alot!!
My dad even took them shopping to buy something special for J and me- and they never even hinted at what they got us. That was really neat- I hope that continues to be a tradition. They loved picking out for us. Lucy got me a really soft purple sweater and W got J some Transformer jim jammers. Good job, guys!!
