Lucy girl

Lucy Elizabeth 10-18-05

My sweet girl is 4. 4!!!! I really cannot believe it. My kids are getting so big and so old- no babies here! Lucy is such a fun child. She is independent, smart and so silly. She is a huge help to me at home- I love it!! She can feed Daisy, put away her clothes, load clothes in the dryer, mop the floor, help me cook- she was even washing dishes the other night!! We got this great little stool for the kitchen so the kids can be up higher and reach more things. She grabbed the stool, turned on the water and started cleaning the dirty dishes in my sink with our soap sponge. I love this girl!!!
Helping me put together our spread for Monday Night Football. She was skewering our fav snack- sweet pickles and cheddar cheese!! yum-o :)
Dredging chicken fingersKneading pizza dough

She and her bubba continue to be very close. They have their moments for sure, but they are best friends and always together. They dress up fancy and pretend to be married (even though they both know God has already picked out someone else for them), they do the whole wedding thing. They stand together at "the church", then go dancing and "talk to everybody that's there". I don't know how they know all this- they have never been to a wedding!! It's one of Lucy's favorite things to do with her bubba, though. On the weekends, they want to have sleepovers in each others rooms, since they each have a trundle bed. They talk forever in there!!
She loves chocolate!! She asked for chocolate cake for 2 of her three birthday cakes (my mom's lemon pound cake was the other one), she drinks chocolate milk every morning, and always gets chocolate ice cream at Braum's when we go for a special treat.
She really go into swimming this summer. We had swim lessons for 2 weeks, and she really shined!!! Her teacher was constantly surprised at how good she did, especially since she was the youngest one in the class by a year!! She loves being underwater doing twists and spins, pushing off from the side and being a "torpedo", and jumping off the diving board.
We have such fun with our Lucy. She is a girly-girl , but very brave and tough. It's quite a combination!! She loves changing clothes and dressing up, and she is very good at picking out her own clothes. Thank you, Lucy, for bringing joy to our family everyday!!!

Doesn't four seem huge?! There is something about that age that really screams, "I'm not a baby anymore!" Your little Lucy is a doll. Soak it in!
