Happy Spring Break to me!!

This week is my Spring Break. The kids aren't off until next week. We kicked it off with a fun weekend.
Saturday, we did a new favorite errand/activity. Jojo had spent the night with us, and Saturday we went to the kids new favorite store- Walmart! Walker likes it because it starts with a W like his name, and because they have SO many toys! We go up and down each aisle, and they look at all the stuff. The first time we did this, I told them we can go up and down all the toy aisles, as long as they understand we are NOT getting anything- we are just looking. They did really good and had a blast, so that is something we can do if it yucky weather and we just want to get out of the house. Go walk around Walmart!!!

Saturday night, we finally got to see Papa and Nana (Jason's parents). They had been sick for a about two weeks, and then we got sick so we hadn't seen them in a long time!! We are not used to going very long without seeing any of our grandparents. Walker and Lucy did get slightly aggravated at Jason and I because we wanted to watch the Mavs game, and wouldn't let them watch one of Nana's movies.

Jason worked on Saturday, and before we went to Papa and Nana's, the boys got a little nap.

Monday was fun. The kids were in school, and Jojo went on errands with me. I got Lucy's Easter shoes, more ribbon to make bows, and pants for Walker. It was just nice to be out, relaxing and shopping. Jason and I have not been on a date night in two months (I know!!!), and I haven't had a day like that in forever.

Today, while I went to my hair appointment, the kids went to Nana's again. They were excited and Walker informed me, "This time it's NOT basketball. We are going to watch a movie"

Tomorrow is ladies lunch at Neiman's with Mom and Grandmother, and the kids' Easter Egg hunt at ARK School.

What a cute picture of your boys napping...I love when I can capture those sweet moments on camera. Glad you're having a fun spring break!

I was just catching up on your posts after a week of absence from the blog world, and noticed Walker's "stats". He and Caleb are EXACTLY the same size. How crazy is that?

Grand parents are the best! Matt and I are going to have a date this weekend too! I like the Walmart-aisle idea.....I'll have to keep that one in mind.

Fun Family Weekend

Jason was off Saturday, and I was really looking forward to a family weekend. He usually works Saturdays, but when he is off and we get 2 days in a row all together, we are so happy!! Friday night he called on his way home from work, and told the kids to get dressed in their cowboy boots, we were going somewhere. The kids got so excited, and ran to their rooms. Lucy got some new cowgirl boots for Christmas (2 pairs, actually), and has been wearing them alot!! They got all dressed up in their cowboy stuff and we waited for Daddy to get home. What's so great about living out in the country??

Well, you find things like this in your backyard: There are lots of fun things about living "out" here and having more than an acre of land to explore. We have roadrunners, roosters, chickens, lizards (apparently!), bonfires, and lots of fun. The kids were so intrigued. Happy Spring Break to Walker and Lucy!!

This week Walker and Lucy are off from ARK School. They are actually NOT excited, they love school!! Caitlin is home this week, too, though so that is fun. We had a great weekend to end my break and kick off the kids. Saturday , we drove to a drive-in theater in Granbury. Colleen (my friend and Walker's teacher) told us about this drive-in and it was showing Horton Hears a Who!, so we decided to check it out. I am so glad there is still one around. Drive-ins are just one of those things I have great memories of and want to do with my kids. At the drive-in, with a good spot. Being comfy in our jim jammers!! Enjoying our picnic dinner. Fruit skewers, pb&j roll-ups, and cheetos!! Sunday , we had a great family lunch at mom's, then it was off to the TCU Easter Egg Hunt. The kids looked so cute, and had fun hunting eggs.
